AVK - Global efforts to provide a better planet to all

AVK supports P4G in their ambitious efforts to ensure the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 25-10-2018

In  October 2018 AVK together with 700 other participants from across the globe attended “P4G” Summit to discuss partnerships for sustainable development.

P4G Summit was attended by governments, global companies, entrepreneurs, academics, and civil society from 53 countries and marks an important first step in working to build and scale public-private partnerships and showcase what strong partnerships can do. Partnerships that among other things will provide safe drinking water for vulnerable populations.

P4G – Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 – is a new initiative with the ambition of becoming the world's leading forum for developing concrete public-private partnerships at scale to deliver on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement. This is a collaborative partnership among nine partner countries Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mexico, the Netherlands, South Korea and Vietnam.  In addition, C40 Cities, World Economic Forum, Global Green Growth Institute and World Resources Institute are partner organizations to P4G. P4G's global hub is hosted at the World Resources Institute.

The objective of P4G is to accelerate the implementation of the SDGs through market driven green solutions.

AVK's primary focus is on goal no. 6; bringing fresh water- and establishing proper sanitation for all on this planet.

In order to achieve this  AVK also focuses on goal no. 17 which talks about strengthening global partnerships to support and achieve the goals.

AVK solutions contribute to safe guard the water that is already available in the pipe network by focusing on Non-Revenue Water (NRW) and leakage management as well as focusing on SMART pressure management. Furthermore, AVK has established partnerships aiming at turning traditional waste water treatment plants into energy producing plants.
